Hide is an exclusive, Michelin starred fine dining restaurant created by Hedonism Wines and acclaimed chef Ollie Dabbous. Located on Piccadilly, the spacious and airy restaurant is set over three floors, flooded with daylight and offering extensive views over Green Park.
The concrete-clad shopfront of the existing 60s building was stripped back to the bare structural concrete frame to allow for large expanses of triple glazing to maximise views, framed by textured custom-made open-cast bronze panels.
The existing structural concrete floor slabs between two former restaurants and a nightclub were demolished and replaced with thinner composite concrete and steel floors. This created a 13,500sqft space with improved floor levels, generous ceiling heights and a dramatic double-height space with a freestanding organic feature staircase leading from the ground floor to the upper level. The atrium provides diners with views of the finishing kitchen on the upper floor and the bakery counter and wood burning oven on the ground floor.
The basement level houses the bar, offering an impressive selection of the world’s finest and rarest spirits, three themed private dining rooms, an extensive wine cellar as well as the main kitchen and substantial back-of-house facilities for staff.
